COASTAL TRIP coastal mountain bike trip & excellent views

Enjoy this off road coastal trip near Alvor. We start and finish at our office in Mexilhoeira Grande.

From here the trip is heading south following double tracks along the banks of the meandering river. Continue biking over single tracks on top of the cliffs near the estuary lagoon of Ria de Alvor. After visiting the charming fishing village of Alvor, you will continue into west direction to the rocky cliffs from Prainha and the beach of Três Irmãos. This area is known for its single tracks by the local and professional free style riders.

After cycling over
the boulevard of
Praia da Rocha
we descend to the
marina of Portimão.
You will cycle
along the river to
the old centre of
Portimão where a
break is planned
on the main square.
After a break in the
centre we continue
through the old
shopping street and
head back to Alvor.
Unexpectedly so
close to the developed coast we find an off road track through a small valley with some local small farms. Watch this home made video - 3m45s

The experienced multilingual guide will stop at magnificent panoramic views and knows the best tracks. The trip is suitable for everyone between 15-65 years with some mountain bike experience.

Start and finish of the trip are at our shop in Mexilhoeira Grande. The total distance of the trip is 32 km/20 miles, net cycling time 2 - 3 hours.
